I’ve been using Ubuntu 16.04 with it’s Unity Desktop environment on my virtual box, but it is not that fast and I keep getting it confused with my main desktop.
To help alleviate the issue I have tried installing the lightweight LXDE:
sudo apt install lxde
sudo apt install lxde-common
